Affiliate Marketing Challenge 9

February 3, 2009 Posted by Tyler Cruz

Note: The results of the Affiliate Marketing Challenge 7 will be posted on February 4th.

Just 2 days after launching my Affiliate Marketing Challenge 8 I’m launching Affiliate Marketing Challenge 9! Due to the delay of PublisherChallenge’s launch, I’m having to announce my competitions on my blog instead.

This competition is being sponsored by AmpedMedia for the first time. AmpedMedia is a nice clean network which is starting to grow quickly. I describe them as clean because in addition to being a very open and transparent company that is open to new ideas and change, their actual site design, navigation, and control panel is clean, easy-to-use, and organized as well.

I finalized my competition with AmpedMedia earlier today by speaking with their CEO, Jonathan Gies. As mentioned above, they are very open to ideas and suggestions. As a result, they took my recommendation of both expanding and increasing the payouts of the VIP tiers.

Because of this, we have an awesome competition sponsored by AmpedMedia for you. Not only is there $1,500 worth of guaranteed prizes with no minimum prerequisite required, but there are now two more VIP tiers – one higher and one lower – with the prize value of the $50K tier having been increased by 50%. Also, every affiliate who reaches a VIP tier will win the corresponding prize – it’s not limited to the highest earner in that bracket anymore!

Affiliate Marketing Challenge 9

So, What Are Your Chances?

I’ve been running these Affiliate Marketing Challenges on my blog for a while now. This isn’t called the Affiliate Marketing Challenge 9 for no reason. But you would be missing out on a huge opportunity to win great prizes if you dismiss this as “just another competition”.

You see, since this is the first time I’ve personally promoted AmpedMedia on my blog, it means I have no referrals, which in turn means no competition for you, at least not yet. As I write this, I currently have 2 referrals with AmpedMedia, both of which have generated a total of $0.00. Since AmpedMedia is putting $1,500 worth of prizes in the Main Category – which has no minimum prerequisite – it means that those prizes will be given away to the top 5 earners under $25,000.

Essentially this means that if you were to compete and generate only $5 you’d currently be in first place, ready to take home a PS3 and Rock Band 2 kit.

Since I’m new to promoting AmpedMedia, your chances of taking away a nice prize are very good. Do not waste this opportunity, as the competition will inevitably get harder as I hold more competitions with them in the future and sign up more people.

Overview

The competition runs from February 1st (12:00AM Eastern time) to February 28th (11:59PM Eastern time).

Since I didn’t announce this competition until the 3rd, and considering that there are only 28 days in February, the sooner you sign up and start racking up your commission, the better.

The process of the challenge is simple: publishers register with AmpedMedia under my referral link and then proceed to make as much money as they can until competition ends on February 28th.

How to Participate

There are two different prize categories:

Main Prizes: Compete with others to be in the top-5 commission generators from AmpedMedia.

  1. Sign up to AmpedMedia through my referral link by clicking here. It is very important that you register under my referral link or you will not be eligible. If you’ve already registered to AmpedMedia from somewhere else previously then you are unfortunately not eligible to participate.
  2. Get your account approved (they will phone you or ask you to phone them).
  3. Earn as much as you can! The top 5 earners will each win a prize.

VIP Categories:

If you’re a super affiliate who can generate big numbers then you are eligible for the luxurious VIP prizes. You will need to generate at least $25,000 a month in order to be eligible.

There are 5 tiers. If you generate enough to hit a certain tier then you win the corresponding prize for that tier, regardless of if other affiliates reach that tier as well.

The tiers are as follows:

  • $25,000-$49,999.99
  • $50,000-$74,999.99
  • $75,000-$99,999.99
  • $100,000-$199,999.99
  • $200,000+: $10,000

(Note: Once you generate $25,000 you are only eligible for the VIP prizes and not the main prizes. Therefore, you cannot win a prize in both the Main Category and VIP Category.)

More Information

  • Prizes will be sent out on a Net-30 basis. This is done to verify that leads and traffic are genuine and nobody is sending in fake or fradulant traffic.
  • Winners may swap their prize for a PayPal or bank wire payment (depending on the prize value) payment of equal value, but must make contact before the prize is sent.
  • For international publishers (residing outside of the US) or in the event that we cannot find a company that ships your prize internationally to your country, AmpedMedia will compensate you by sending a PayPal payment or bank wire payment (depending on the prize value) for the value of the prize.
  • Any publisher caught doing illegal measures such as fraud or being in violation of the affiliate network’s Terms of Service will not be eligible for a prize.

Good Luck!

I strongly urge everyone to participate in this challenge. The prizes alone should be enough incentive for you to join, but on top of that, this competition is a very good way to get started in affiliate marketing and put positive pressure on yourself to improve your earnings.

Better yet, this is the first competition I’ve run with AmpedMedia which in turn means a great chance for you to win something since the competition will be relatively low.

I look forward to seeing how this challenge progresses and hope to see a lot of you participate!

  1. IndoContest says:

    Got rejected before. 🙁
They don’t accept International Publisher coz they don’t have a department that handles international publishers. 😀

  2. IndoContest says:

BTW Tyler, the ref link is wrong.
    404 File Not Found.

  3. Chris says:

Glad you launched this new challenge Tyler. Much better than the MarketLeverage one. One problem though…you’re affiliate link doesn’t work. It goes to a 404 page.

  4. Ryan McLean says:

I love your blog Tyler but I am sick of all these challenges. I want to learn something from you, not just hear about challenges, your earnings and your products.
    TEACH ME SOMETHING!

  5. Muneeb says:

I just received an email from them and saying you publisher application is unfortunately declined 🙁

I don’t know what to do now ? Tyler any help !!

    • Muneeb, please contact me and I will look into the exact reason for denial. Sometimes it can be something small (ex: mismatched information, unable to establish contact, etc). We do welcome the opportunity to service all affiliates, sorry for the inconvenience.

  6. Typhoon says:

I m hoping to participate in this contest :|)

  7. Typhoon says:

Ok..I registered for it..But the should accept asap since the time told to me for waiting is 72hrs(phew)..

  8. I signed up with them through your referral link back in November when you did your review of them. I think the link I followed was http://www.publisherspot.com/go/ampedmedia .

Am I not one of your referred pubs? Or is this another competition where only new referrals are allowed to participate?

    • Tyler Cruz says:

      Paul,

Unfortunately, your CD# doesn’t match up with either of the two affiliates I had referred previously.

If you signed up through my review I did of them here (https://www.tylercruz.com/review-of-amped-media/) as you mentioned above, then that probably explains it. I didn’t use my referral link there as it was a paid review and I don’t add my referral link to paid reviews.

Sorry man, but it appears you signed up under no referral!

      • Luke says:

You might be able to talk Jonathan into letting you earn under Tyler’s referral since you did technically join because of him 😛

      • I’m pretty sure I used the link on your Publisherspot system, since I didn’t see the cloaked link in the review and I had a suspicion that one day you might do contests with them so I wanted to be referred by you.

I don’t know what happened. Oh well… no biggie. It would have been nice to compete, but the real secret is to tweak and make your campaigns make a pile of money so you can afford to buy your own ATV. 🙂

  9. Before I sign up, I’d like to see some of your available offers. However, when I click on any of the links here:

    http://www.ampedmedia.com/top-performing-offers.php

    I get a 404 error.

    • Zander, sorry… it seems the links on that page are a little outdated. Recently we have been working our SEO and link structure to help our root. I will have those links updated today.

For now, you can visit Amped Media News to see and updated list of our offers. Although this resource does not include all of the offers listed on the Amped Media interface, it’s a good source to gauge what kind of offers we have.

However, you can contact me with specific inquires. Remember, we want to use this contest to optimize our campaign inventory. So, if we don’t have it… we will get it, and for more.

      • I imagine that ML knew that tyler was going to run more than 1 competition with his new publisher website. It can’t come as much of shock to them (Besides, I don’t think tyler would do anything to compromise his relationship with ML, he’s made too much cash with them).

  10. jason says:

    lol…

tyler i dunno how to say this without coming off as a complete dick but you are horrible with any business decisions. You basically killed any chance at market leverage coming back with another contest by launching another right next to them that has easier requirements. good job on working with amp to come up with a better competition but even you gotta realize how stupid this is.

  11. To be honest, the way you make every contest only for your refs irks me some. So much so that the last thing I would want to do right now is signup through your link (for a network I am actually not on already, for once) and let you make any money off me. I’d rather sign up direct, or under someone who provides me something of value even if at the sake of being voided from every Amped challenge you end up having.

Sad thing is I usually tend to make sure I use referrals for people who I appreciate and make an effort to provide some value. I do it as a way of giving back while many affiliates may just go direct regardless.

But after reading post after post after post (after post after post after post) of you bragging about how much your referrals are making you and your decision to absolutely not allow non-referred affiliates take part I have no desire to contribute to that.

You’re not even discreet about using all the noobs for their referral commissions! I mean we all know that is the only factor behind running them and it’s understandable to want to get some referral leads but to block out anything else that won’t make you money immediately is a big mistake in my opinion. I mean if you weren’t so selfish with the marketleverage contest and allowed tiers for pre-signed up affiliates I would probably have been happy to jump on in with every challenge after that, including the ones I am not joined in on…making you more money by not being so directly selfish. I don’t know if others are like me but the last few months have caused me to lose a lot of respect and actually cause some bitterness.

But good luck to you and the networks that go along with it. I’m sure there are plenty of new noobs that will be joining up at least making you a little bit here and there.

    • Typhoon says:

hmm..Every reader have their own way of looking to contest..Some feels it’s good some feels useless.

    • DaveRH says:

There is absolutely no incentive for Tyler to run a contest open to people who aren’t under his affiliate ID. Tyler makes his living online, he doesn’t hide that fact, and is completely open about that. These contests are another method he’s using to generate money for himself. He’s never tried to set himself up as an altruistic blogger who is on the net trying to help people. It’s a value proposition: If you sign up under his ID, you can compete in contests for prizes instead of just earning affiliate $. If you don’t like it, you don’t have to get involved.

Your comments are akin to someone complaining to you that you spend all your time promoting your own affiliate offers, and none of theirs. Why would you do that? You’re here to make money. So is Tyler.

  12. Pretty interesting that there’s 2 this month, although It’s not absolutely surprising, see as that your new website will be chocked full of contests. Hope this one does well, but I feel sorta bad for ML’s current contest, I can’t imagine it doing very well.

  13. Zach says:

Oh no Tyler! I signed up with Amped Media a while ago… Do you know if there is any way I can get into the competition? Please let me know! I’ll also ask my affiliate manager. And, yes I will rep for AmpedMedia, they are a really nice, genuine company.

    Good luck to all,
    Zach 🙂

    • Tyler Cruz says:

If you didn’t sign up under somebody else’s referral link and you signed up after reading about them from my blog or clicking on a non-affiliate link from my blog to them you might be able to talk them into transferring you to my referral account, but don’t get disappointed if they can’t…

  14. Funny Quotes says:

Wow, these are some impressive prizes. I can’t wait till you launch Publisher Challenge to have to site dedicated to these. I wish everyone luck with the challenge.

  15. game-girl says:

I don’t share the sadness about the organizing conditions of the contest. It is not good to feel insulted about someone’s will.
