It was only a month ago when I announced breaking into the 900 mark for RSS subscribers, and now I’ve managed to hit my favourite milestone number (1,000), with a new RSS record of 1034!
It seems like I’ve been waiting forever to break into the four-digits, but I guess really I’ve only been waiting a month. That means I gained over 100 RSS readers in just one month.
Now, obviously it was my $300 RSS Contest that helped put me over the top. By the way, I won’t be drawing the winners for another few days, so be sure to sign-up if you haven’t already, in order to be eligible for an easy $50.
In fact, only about 15-16 hours after posting the contest, I had received over 40 new RSS subscribers. I now have around 66 new RSS e-mail subscribers thanks to the contest. The real question, though, will be: how many of those people will unsubscribe. Even if half of them unsubscribe though, I still consider it a success.
Before the contest I had 29 e-mail subscribers. Two days after posting it I now have 95. And I also referred 4 people to NeverBlueAds, and it’s only been two days!
Anyhow, even though the contest undoubtedly helped me increase my RSS numbers, it was only a matter of time before I would reach 1,000. After all, I was at 994 RSS before launching the contest.
My previous goal was to hit 1,000 RSS subscribers and to average 900. I had predicted that I would reach that goal sometime around mid-January, but I’m happy to be wrong
I think it’s more than safe to say that I average at least 900 now, so it’s time to set a new goal. My new goal is to hit 1,200 RSS subscribers, and to average 1,000. My prediction is that I’ll hit this goal sometime in early Spring, around March or April.
And so the upwards trend continues… it’s a very slow and gradual process, but it’s consistent. It’s hard to believe that one year ago I was just under 200…
WooHooooooooo! 1,000 RSS Babyyyyyyyyyy!
