Joel Comm’s Amazing Weight Loss

February 7, 2011 Posted by Tyler Cruz

Remember my weight loss challenges against Jonathan Volk and Paul Piotrowski? I managed to make both challenges, losing 10 pounds in my challenge against Jonathan, and losing 12 pounds in my challenge against Paul.

While I’m proud of making both challenges, as weight loss is a very difficult thing to do, I was absolutely amazed when I saw Joel Comm’s blog post about his weight loss.

He went from weighing 225 pounds on September 1st, to 175 pounds in only 4.5 months! That’s a 50 pound loss in less than 5 months!

Here are some before and after photos of his weight loss:

I know we’ve all seen before and after photos of weight loss before, but it’s a bit different when it’s somebody you know.

When you think of it, it’s not really a surprise that Joel could have such a dramatic and fast weight loss. He’s a NY Times bestselling author and has made millions online through many different areas, from having the #1 iPhone app to being the AdSense guru.

It just goes to show that you can do anything if you set your mind to it. Losing weight, learning an instrument, making money online… they all require dedication and hard work.

  1. Wow Joel, you look great! How did you do it?

  2. Congrats, Joel. Having just dropped below a Slim 170 for the first time in about 15 years, I know the sense of energy and satisfaction that comes with this.

I’ll be sharing my secrets later.

    Good for you!

Those are amazing results Joel, how were you able to do this?

  5. Damn, that’s some awesome weight loss progress. Tyler good thing you didn’t challenge Joel. You wouldn’t stand a chance. Then again I’m sure it helps to be wealthy with plenty of free time and access to other resources. This weight gain and loss trend must be quite common among internet entrepreneurs as they put everything into their business and neglect their health.

  6. WOW!I am surprised.I couldn’t lose that weight if i was his weight before.WoW!Congrats Joel!Clap Clap Clap

  7. that’s really nice Joe! Congratulation!!

Yes well said, you can achieve any goal if you do it sincerely and delicately. Also, I would like to add that, weight loss should be in natural way, by not dieting but with workouts and change in diet style. If you avoid oily, starchy, sugar contained food half the work is done. Do exercises on daily basis. Eat lots of salads before lunch and dinner and have juices on regular basis.

  9. Thank you for sharing this! It is a night and day difference. I agree that it is what you put your mind to, which is also what Michael Snyder, M.D. talks about in a book I am enjoying called, Full: A Life Without Dieting. Dr. Snyder gives the reader an insider perspective on weight loss and offers great advice on eating less food, but choosing items that help you feel full longer. I highly recommend this book to anyone who does not want to go the ‘diet’ route.

  10. That is quite amazing. Shows you can do anything if you’re determined. I wonder if he’d be able to share some tips? I know it probably involves the usual workouts and dieting but I also do all that and don’t lose weight any. 🙁 I try to avoid carbs too much as well as soft drinks, walk/cycle for an hour and eat balanced meals but still no weight loss.

  11. He is looking healthier instantly 🙂

It’s not really that hard or rocket science, it comes down to math: you eat less than you spend. Much easier said than done, of course.
