PublisherChallenge Screenshots Revealed
January 26, 2009 Posted by Tyler CruzFour days ago, I published my PublisherChallenge Explained post in which I described what the site was for as well as its features.
It got a lot of hateful comments and smack including mockery posts on a couple super affiliate blogs, its own hate thread on WickedFire, and even a hack attempt. People will think what they want to think, and I’ll ignore them unless they convey their criticisms constructively and fairly.
My friend Wes from Tracking202 told me just yesterday that in the beginning everyone hated them and spewed hateful nonsense. Now, Tracking202 and the 202 network are loved and used by everyone, including a couple super affiliates who are doing 7 figures per month.
Anyhow, I’ll spare you of any of that drama in detail. If anything, it’s free exposure for the site – even if it is coming across as negative in some circles.
Here are some screenshots of PublisherChallenge. The programming is currently around 65% done as I write this, although I just gave the programmers a bunch of new features to add to the site so it’s probably closer to 60%. I hope for it to be about 85% complete by Tuesday night. The core of the site is complete, and that’s what matters.
So far the programmers have done a pretty good job, especially considering the short timeframe they’ve had to work in. The deadline will be extremely tight, and to be honest I’m not sure if it will be 100% complete by February 1st, but we’re sure aiming for it.

As you can see, the site offers a lot of features and is a pretty dynamic and involved site. I just gave the programmers a big task before the weekend, and while making this post I remembered about 5 new features that they’ll need to add as well. The deadline will be incredibly tight, no doubt about it.

Ahhh!!! I am working an overnight shift as im reading this! I cant wait to start earning I have been working a shit ton the past few days in the video game niche!
Where do you work? And have you signed up under an affiliate network yet?

I really dig the design you’ve decided to go with. The only thing I’d say is that you could make the content areas for the members profile a tiny bit more attractive, like the Standings page.
But, otherwise, awesome awesome!
Looks great! The new site is all the more reason to start participating in the challenges in the near future!

I think the idea is great, and definitely something I want to get involved in…can’t wait for the launch!
Ignore the haters…I bet most of us think your blog is brilliant (I know I do).
Looks very promising. Look forward to the reports on its growth post-launch.
Interesting project. Not only will it take the “affiliate contests” off your blog, which will then again start to highlight some of the good content shown on this blog but also because, the service now has its own “home”. This means, that potentially more contests can be ran – due to contests being able to be run simultaneously and this will result in increased affiliate revenues for yourself.
Nice looking site, Tyler. Are you going to make entering the contests a bit more open to affiliates who aren’t signed up under your link? I’ve only been able to participate in the blogging aspect of your competitions, as I’ve registered previously to many networks on my own before knowing about your referral.
My opinion is that no publicity is bad publicity, so good luck. I will give your site a mention on my blog (TeenageBusinessman.com) to give it a tiny (and I mean tiny!) push.
How much did you spend on coding the site (if you don’t mind my asking)? Just a ballpark figure.

PS: You could do worse than throwing a few $100s of Facebook advertising on the site once it launches – there’s about $400 worth of free credit vouchers available on there.
Man that looks sweet. I have seen you talk about this secret project for a while and was really wondering what it was. It seems really cool. Congrats I hope it is a huge success.

Your a looser! The differnce between the crap that your trying to start and tracking202 is that 202 is actually a useful service.

I’ve been reading your blog for about 2 years now, but have never (maybe, perhaps, once or twice) commented on your posts. But the recent hate response you’ve been getting warrants a quick comment.
Tyler, if you believe in your idea and you think your idea would be successful, do not let anyone else convince you otherwise. I’m sure you are handling yourself quite well and are going ahead with your plans, but just thought I render a few words of encouragement.
