Time to Breathe Would be Nice

February 26, 2009 Posted by Tyler Cruz

I’ve been working a ton lately. While it feels good to always have something you can be doing, it can also be extremely overwhelming, especially if you’re used to working 2-3 hours per day like me.

I’m going to make this post really short and sweet since I have literally 12 minutes left before I need to publish this. If I wait any longer, then it won’t be e-mailed out to RSS E-mail subscribers until tomorrow. Besides, my head is far too cluttered to write anything of significant value.

Basically, aside from polishing up PublisherForums and doing some upgrading on PokerForums, I’ve been continuing to work hard and focus on PublisherChallenge. We’ve added a number of improvements which you can read more on here.

Most notably, has been the addition of MotiveInteractive to the site. They’re holding a great competition on PublisherChallenge called Motive’s March Madness. This competition actually has the highest guaranteed Main Category prize pool of any prior competition with $2,000 up for grabs.

Prizes include a VIP Las Vegas Trip for Two, Slingbox PRO-HD, 2.0 GHz MacBook, and one fancy telescope to name a few.

PublisherChallenge seems to be doing great so far. Earlier today, I hadn’t even finished putting up the Motive competition on the site yet (I still had the prizes section to finish) but still got a few referrals/sign-up’s anyway!

I can’t wait to see the results when I get a few friends to post about the site. Okay, I only have 2 minutes left so I’m going to post this now! Sorry for the rush – been so busy lately!

While I am not doing as well as you I know what you mean about having lots to do.

It is important you do not burn yourself out. 🙂

    Take care. 🙂

  3. Keep us updated on PublisherChallenge. Sounds like a pretty cool idea.

  4. One question I have for you Tyler is do you know where you’re going?

I first started reading your blog after you made that thread on sitepoint.com but I’m not sure if you’ve ever mention what your goals were or what life you wanted for yourself.

Sure, you have your monetary goals but I’m sure you feel you’ll hit those sooner or later. Maybe I’m way off and you have all your plans but I reckon defining what you want to do with your free time will force you to keep your work time more concise therefore giving you your time to breathe.

Tyler, keep up the good work and maybe take some time off if you feel you need a break.

Personally I think you are doing a great job with Publisher Challenge. 😉

It’s great to see that PublisherChallenge is working incredibly well for you. You do have some great prizes that you are offering out. I don’t think I have seen a website do so well so quickly so you are definitely on the right track.

No doubt ,Tyler ,you are a happy person now.Your business rythm is impessive, and so are the ideas.I like the post you created for some minutes,it turned to be interesting and informative.I think many people will participate in the contest, the prices are really smart and I hope everything will be a success.

  8. Do you have a staff that does the work for you or are you the only one? I ask because I barely have time to write 2 articles a day (and most days I don’t) and do some link building but here you are talking about being used to working 2 to 3 hour days. Did someone call in sick or take a vacation?
