Online Community Building,

They increased the payout limit. It means that the most money you could get at a time was around $60/day, now you can cash out your points for as much as $200/day. And believe it or not, there was a good reason they raised the limit ... many of their publishers make over $100 a day by selling links, so they had to raise cashout limits.

I think what I am about to say just confirms how confused this 'points' system makes me.

Surely if they are increasing the payout maximum, that is a bad thing as it limits the amount you can earn?

Why on earth have they chosen such a method? My only reasoning for it is so they can change the value of the points, to the detriment of all the publishers who have been running the ads.

TNX just informed me that as a result of my review, they've increased the payout maximum from 150,000 points to 300,000.

The largest drawback to TNX I take from your review is the dodgy payout / 'points' system. Why is it so complicated and why is it so untransparent?

I could accrue many thousands of 'points' only for TNX to then turn around and change the $ value of points.

Hmmm, I would rather stick to a system with earnings that have value rather than a points system that is overly confusing, unnecessarily untransparent and unpredictable when it comes to financial value.

I tried TNX.net before, and I did not like it at all. All the links on my PR3 Link Bid Directory were very irrelevant. They also did not pay much at all, as I have about 5000 points in my balance, but I cannot cash them out because there is a $5 cashout.

One reason I will not use them now is because Google will see these as worse than Text-Link-Ads. The reason is that they have far more spammy ads.
