So many paid plugs/reviews on this blog. I know it makes you money and you don’t care what I think but it is annoying.
I would like to know more about your personal journey and what you are doing as an entrepreneur and how much you are making. It is exciting and encouraging.
I rarely read your blog now because there is not much to read, but I hope it gets better because I really enjoyed it before
I’m pretty sure Tyler values your feedback. Paid plugs can be disruptive if that’s all the blog consists of, but keep in mind if he doesn’t support the product in some way, he probably wouldn’t promote it at all on his blog. Also, some people don’t like the personal side of blogs, so it’s important to stick with what you want to post because you can’t make every reader happy.
All that said, let’s get an update on the challenge! 🙂
NOOOO! Replacing the current crapload of “content” with the old crapload of publisherchallenge spam on here isn’t the answer lol. He finally stopped posting about it every other post as that was also getting annoying.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think there is anything wrong with paid post or promoting your own products/other sites on some of your post but not every other post! When the only thing you have on the blog to break up all the paid post is the annoying weightloss crap you, well, you start to lose readers and interest. (and you guys sponsored some of that crap Dina! lol. Hope you guys made your money back on those shoes!).
Tyler, coun’t up the words of the last 15 post on the blog and figure out how many of them were sales post. And count up how many of them were actually written by you. Then stop and reconsider what you want out of this blog. Make as much money off it as you can before you annoy the remaining readers you have or turn it back into a good place to read nice, well thought out post about topics that relate.
God, the last thing I through I would ever say…look to your friend John Chow for some idea of how to mix annoyingly off-topic useless spew with paid post and actual decent content. John at least knows how to mix them well and post useful content enough to spread out the spam. Though it would be better if you just used your old self as an example of how to do it…when you cared more about real and good content than you did about milking every last paid post.

I’ve just had a real influx of paid plugs and paid reviews lately. I keep raising my price to try to slow the demand down. Sometimes I go without 2-3 months of having any paid plug or review though, I’ve just had a backlog lately.
After my next one I’ll be all caught up though.
You CAN always say no, you know ;). That’s one way to keep your integrity and reader happiness. Though if short-term profits are all that matter then by all means, profit ;).
Same here .. I used to read his blog for the useful tips and insights of an internet entrepreneur. But there are too much of plugs and paid reviews now, it’s annoying.
I agree with Ryan, start writing about your projects etc. some more, Tyler! All this paid plug and paid review stuff is excessive.
hes obviously very broke right now. his poker site isn’t doing good, he cant sell his movie site, publisher challange is slowing down. hes got no other real means of income besides this.
I dont know how he expects to keep making money off his blog if his blog turns into a big advertising billboard. But I guess he knows everything right? thats why all his others sites are taking a dump and he cant get anyone to buy them for stupid prices because they know hes a greedy douche.
You know what, even if Tyler continues writing paid posts, he’s still earning a lot from this blog alone. I don’t want to favor Tyler 100%, but it’s true because his name is known and a lot of other bloggers mention him once in a while.

sad thing is tyler isn’t even the one writing most of the paid post! If he actually took the time to write them then he could take the full amount of the paid post meaning he would need less paid post to make the same amount. Paying someone else to write his paid post makes him less money meaning he is ruining his blog trying to stay even.

I actually like this about this blog, Tyler lets these kind of comments actually make it live. Its great to see both sides of things.

I have never heard about them, but we as a marketing company are always looking for new tools and information to use, so we will have to take a look into it.
Not to knock wordze to bad, they do provide a good service, but I’ve had bad experience with Wordze.
A. If anything happens to your credit and it doesn’t go through. They instantly cancel your account.
B. I was paying at a rate of something like 30$ dollars a month for OVER A YEAR. and what did they do when i wanted to change my card info., i had to cancel my account and sign up again…. then I had to pay the new price $38
Besides the poor customer support, it’s a great service and tool for seo/ppc affiliate marketers.
You must have used it long time ago. The service has really changed since their early years as far as billing and tools. You can update your billing from within your account, plus there are a handfull of new tools now of days. Love the product database!
Programs like these are great for those just starting out or starting a new MFA blog and needing a place to get a footing.

Improve ranking or money back ? Sounds like a no brainer, at least in theory …
Anyway, I’ll be giving it a shot, I still have a lot to learn about internet marketing and I hope with this kind of help, I’ll learn a trick or two 😉

I think the best way to improve our rankings is to do it by our selves. It would be cheaper and it would be more qualitative. Anyway, since the “do it your self” method which I just described is a really hard one, I’m going to give them a try. 🙂
