Twitter Dummy Giveaway Contest
January 20, 2010 Posted by Tyler CruzIt’s time for another contest giveaway! I label posts like these as giveaways and not just simply contests because they’re really easy to enter, requiring maybe 15-seconds of your time.
This giveaway is for the brand new eBook called Twitter Dummy. The book is not isolated to just growing the number of your Twitter followers, but also focuses on how to keep and manage them.
The eBook is written by John Paul Aguiar, an internet entrepreneur, blogger, and Tweeter who has recently grown his Twitter follower’s list to 40,000 and is also on 400 lists.
The Prizes
I have 5 copies of Twitter Dummy to give away. The eBook is priced at $25, so it’s a nice prize to win for no real effort required.

Just had a chance to enter. I have to confess that while I’ve setup a personal and business twitter, I just haven’t had the chance to use either that much. We’ve been focusing more on SEO/PPC to grow our business, and have yet to get a firm handle on how social media can really help grow our business. Hopefully winning this book will be a first step 🙂
SEO/PPC are very important. But Twitter used correctly with a lil bit of effort will send you traffic to your site daily.

Good point John. I personally over-rely on seo, but it would be good to add in other traffic such as from Twitter.

As far as traffic, yea you should spread it around, not just use SEO or just use Twitter.
You need a good balance of it all.

Everyone involved in marketing should realize the benefits of diversification. No single traffic source is completely secure. Something can always happen to reduce a traffic source to peanuts. If you are getting traffic from multiple sources, your traffic and website income is much more secure. So even if you have 1 very strong traffic source, you definitely shouldn’t ignore your alternate traffic sources. Some day you may need to rely on those sources much more.
