Less than 24 hours after my last post, and I’ve already received 3 reviews for my blog! I was crossing my fingers hoping for at least one, and to have 3 reviews already… well.. makes me happy.
Here they are:
Paul, the writer of the last post, e-mailed me some good comments on how to improve my blog, and I have to admit that I have been pondering about the same ideas lately as well, and I believe I’m going to undertake them now.
It’s really quite simple. Basically, it’s to create more posts, and keep the posts down to one topic. My blog has differed from most others in the fact that my posts have usually been epicly long, and covering a multitude of topics. I did that to try to make my posts valuable and worthwhile to read, but Paul brings up two good points that challenge this logic:
1. For people who subscribe to RSS feeds or perhaps just quickly read my post titles, it can be misleading to what my post actually entails, since I cover a variety of topics per post.
2. As a result of #1, my updates have a longer delay between them than most bloggers. By simply creating blog posts with less topics, that will solve this problem on it’s own.
And the more updates the better.. there’s no doubt about this. So, expect a bit of a difference from my blog from now on. More posts, albiet a bit shorter, more often. Thanks for the tips, Paul.
With only just 3 blog reviews, I’ve already jumped from 11,389 to 10,938 on Technorati! That’s jumping over 451 blogs in ranking overnight! I can only hope that more people will send in reviews…
