EfficientPPC Review

October 18, 2008 Posted by Tyler Cruz

The following is a paid review and is completely of my own opinion and is not influenced by being paid. If you’re interested in having me review your site or product, please view my advertising page.

I was very happy to receive this paid review as I knew that it would directly benefit my readers.

My blog has focused a lot on affiliate marketing during the past 6-months, and I’ve introduced a lot of newcomers to the game. In fact, I’ve sent over 111 referrals to MarketLeverage who are competing in my Affiliate Marketing Competitions. However, since the majority of these people are brand new to PPC affiliate marketing, many have been having trouble getting their campaigns off the ground.

EfficientPPC is a software tool that helps you generate thousands, tens of thousands, or hundreds of thousands of keywords and ads for your campaigns within seconds. It will create highly targeted longtail keywords and ads built upon a set of predefined lists that you create.

Here is a basic rundown of the pro’s and con’s:

Pros:

  • Extremely fast (can generate 1 million keywords in around 3 seconds)
  • Very basic and easy to use/learn
  • Simple ability to easily duplicate campaigns
  • Ability to use up to 5 keyword lists compared to SpeedPPC’s 2
  • Price (cheaper than competitors)
  • Exports large amounts of data in multiple files which makes adding to AdWords editor a breeze

Cons:

  • No support for Yahoo yet, but they’re currently working on it.
  • Limited amount of pre-built keyword lists, would be simple to add many more…
  • Doesn’t have the added external features of SpeedPPC such as landing page templates

Below is an in-depth screencast review of EfficientPPC. The first 13-minutes don’t actually show the program, so skip ahead to 13:50 if you’re impatient:

I’m usually extremely skeptical when it comes to online paid tools or services that promise the world, but I’ve actually been using a very similar program for my campaigns (SpeedPPC) and can vouch for the usefulness and effectiveness these types of keyword generation tools give.

However, now that I’ve used EfficientPPC, I’ll probably be switching over to it. SpeedPPC is a great tool as well, but EfficientPPC’s multiple file exporting for easier importing into AdWords and the ability to use up to 5 keyword lists make it slightly better in my opinion.

If you’re struggling with keyword generation for your campaigns then I highly recommend purchasing EfficientPPC. Sure, it may seem expensive, but it will pay for itself in no time.

  1. I was about to buy SpeedPPC today! Good thing I read about this first. I got a lot of thinking to do… this is waaaaayyy out of my budget.

  2. Ryan McLean says:

I don’t really understand the point of using this program?
I am a little confused as I am a bit of a rookie in this area, would love if you could explain this in more detail

  3. Jay says:

I think this would probably benefit a lot of my readers as well, because a lot of my readers are having a tough time getting off the ground for AM.

But you never mentioned how much the program actually is…

  4. Joel Drapper says:

I though that having fewer, more specific keywords and higher pay per click had a higher conversion rate.

I much prefer SEO anyway because infact more people click on the organic results then do the ads.

    • Tyler Cruz says:

Well longtail keywords _are_ more specific keywords, and it shouldn’t matter how much you pay per click in terms of conversion rate.

Your position will have an effect on converion rate, but you don’t necessarily have to pay more to get a higher position.

Organic/SEO is always an option, but programs like these are specifically catered to PPC campaigns (hence EfficientPPC) πŸ˜‰

  5. hitesh sahni says:

If I have to choose one , which one do you recommend – efficientPPC or speedPPC ?

  6. More importantly, what did you do to make $82.50 your previous day with ML?

  7. theridge says:

    Tyler,
I signed up for marketleverage and I never heard back from the company?

  8. I’d love to hear about how you’re making $100/day with your affiliate marketing – which networks are you using?

    • Tyler Cruz says:

Gonna have to stay tuned for that post! Give it about 7-10 days…

      • I look forward to hearing about it. Right now I’m breaking even with one network I’ve been promoting on, but between the high CPCs I’m paying (usually $0.86-$1.00 a click), the profit margin isn’t very much.

        • Reena says:

There’s actually a fair bit of difference between Efficient PPC and the patent-pending SpeedPPC so certainly check out both and make your own decision.

These are some of the differentiating features that SpeedPPC has:

          1) Dynamic landing page generation – sync your campaign up to targeted landing pages. This is immensely important for Quality Score, PPC’s not just about your actual AdWords campaign.
          2) The Affiliate Datafeed Software – a second software program that’s essential for affiliate marketers using bulk datafeeds from merchants.
          3) 15 Professional landing page templates – these will save you over $1000 just in web development costs
          4) 380+ keyword libraries
          5) Ability to export campaigns (in csv and Excel) into Yahoo, MSN and 9 other search engines. You can also create your own output template for 2nd & 3rd tier engines.
          6) You can choose a variety of campaign types (eg. Domain name campaigns) for greater flexibility with SpeedPPC
          7) Data cleansing features for keyword lists, which are handy if you’re copying your keywords from elsewhere
          8) Standard and Advanced Ad Builders
          9) Regular monthly training videos on PPC marketing and SpeedPPC so you can keep improving
          10) There’s also a huge library of training videos and resources for getting started
          11) Continual version updates to add new features and keep your campaigns competitive

You can check out the full Comparison table here http://www.speedppc.com/comparison-guide/

If you’re investing in a PPC tool, then it’s worthwhile getting the full package of SpeedPPC as a longer term investment.

  9. Make money says:

    looks cool

    Let me try them out…
i am confused which one to choose ?

  10. Reena says:

SpeedPPC does have a 30 day money-back guarantee so you can try it risk-free and see. If you’re not thrilled with it, then you get your full payment refunded.

  11. accounts says:

Guess they’ll be both worth trying out.Within the 30 days guarantee should be able to make my mind up. We’ll see how it goes.
