A Quick Update on My 30 Post Status

July 31, 2017 Posted by Tyler Cruz

8 days ago, I suddenly appeared after a year and a half of hiding and announced my return to blogging.

I wanted to promise 3-months of solid content with a new blog post being posted every 3 days. In order to fulfill this promise, I need to create a queue of 30 blog posts.

I have been working hard on this and am currently 40% done. These are lengthy, high-quality blog posts too, most of which you should find interesting. So hang tight – I’m 40% done and if I stay on my current pace I should be finished within 2 weeks. At the latest I expect to finish in 3 more weeks.

Here’s a video reiterating the above:

(Note: You may need to visit the post directly at TylerCruz.com if you’re reading this via e-mail or RSS in order to see the video.)

Thanks for waiting – I’ll be back soon!

Tyler i am not affiliate marketer but i am big fan of yours. I thought you was may be having very less time to do blog updates. But nice to see you again with 30 post blog updates. Will be visiting your blog regularly.

Would love to hear an update on your RE investment and if your number projections were accurate.

Also, any challenges you didn’t anticipate, things you would have done different, interested in more properties now or not? if not why not? etc.

    Thanks!

The problem with doing all these in advance is that you can’t respond to reader feedback. ie It doesn’t matter what people comment, your next post is already written.

    • Tyler Cruz says:

Yes, I don’t think this is good to do long term, and these posts need to be published regardless of what people comment as they are basically telling my story of the past year and a half.

Stay tuned to find out… you may be shocked!

I am also curious if you recommend real estate as an investment. Like you I also made a nice amount from affiliate marketing but our differences lie in how we invested the proceeds. I basically dumped everything into the stock market in 2012 and it has paid off nicely. I thought about real estate but I do not have any hands-on skills for repairs nor the time or patience patience to deal with that or bad tenants.

I don’t do any of that. I pay a property manager 10% of gross rent and they handle everything. I talk all about this in my post – how did you fare with your stock market investment?

      • mike says:

Oh I see – yes hiring a property manager is what I would have to do too. I’ve done really well in the stock market (so good that I’ve doubled my initial investment). This was thanks to a strong USD and a bull market, but of course, we don’t know when the bull market will end. I just invest in total market ETF index funds where you set it and forget it. I have no interest or time for picking individual stocks and hoping for the best. Sure there could be a down market at any time but I won’t be using the money for decades to come so riding the ups and downs is part of it.

  7. Rad says:

hey Tyler good to see you back! why don’t you start releasing some of the posts you’ve already done, and if you need more time to write more just take that time. i’m interested to see what you’ve been up to!

  8. Walter Mosley says:

he rents out his extra rooms to asian exchange students.

  9. Nice Tyler! Looking you are heading into the right direction :))
Looking forward to read up on your journey
