A Tour of My New Office
June 16, 2014 Posted by Tyler CruzIt’s been a while since I published more of a personal type of post, and so I thought I’d post one to help change things up in between income reports and other affiliate marketing related posts.
As you may recall, last November I moved from my condo into a house. One of the major selling points of the house for me was that it had a nice office, complete with a nice built-in desk in the corner. I also added a phone and installed a faster internet connection than my previous one. You can check out www.eatel.com/residential/internet/ to see the package that I got. Then, got some new lighting to create a nice ambiance for working. You are making a million and you have a chair like that?
I’m not making a million. I also drive a 2004 Toyota Corolla.
It’s really nice to have an office space. I’m working in my bedroom and that is really distracting and… ugly because you’re tempted to always be there at the desk, working. Great idea with the stopwatch, though! I’ll probably steal it from you 🙂
Yeah, just remember that worktime is worktime… so, no watching TV or having a movie playing in the background, etc. I try to separate work from play as much as I can (although Reddit is my enemy these days…)

No – I can’t work in an environment like that. Plus, I really can’t get anything worthwhile done on a laptop either…

Is that a reference to what I think it is?
I enjoyed the little tour, it is nice to see someone successful having an office that is basic and not full of fancy gadgets for the owner to show off to the camera. 🙂
My office is also my bedroom, it is basically a desk in the corner of the room with a chair and my laptop on it, my dog also sleeps under the desk and also hides there when she is scared by the thunder, fireworks or loud noises.
Fancy gadgets? Like what, lol.

Never mind but I feel that you sit in very congested area.
It looks slightly worse than it is. When you actually sit down, it’s just enough room.
Looks a tiny bit cramped? Why not move into your living room rather than a small space? It looked quite a big house in the previous photos!

It looks really nice and roomy out. In a year will you have lived in it and it will look better with some flowers, posters and paintings.

Get out of that corner, that can not be good Feng Shui! Anyway , I guess whatever make you feel comfortable will translate into better results work wise. It’s nice to have a space just for working. Cute dog!

I must say this now that I am addicted to read what all you share. Whenever I feel a bit low, reading this article wipes it all. You story is really inspirational for the newbies and I can say this that so far, I’ve not achieved anything. It will take time, but I surely will 🙂
