Birth of a Blog

October 21, 2005 Posted by Tyler Cruz

Hello,

I’ve decided to give into peer pressure and create a blog due to an overwhelming number of requests 🙂 I will start the blog by stating that Sitepoint linked to my “five months later” thread on their front pages. Now I feel bad for writing it quickly and poorly…

The point of this blog will be to simply keep a journal of what I do in regards to my websites. A major reason for my agreeing to start one was that I think maybe it will help motivate me, or make me feel guilty when slacking, and get me back up and working on my websites.

My GOAL is simple: to average $10,000 USD a month from income off of my websites. This will not include sales of my websites, and will only count for profit. At this time of writing, I am averaging around $4000 a month – my goal is to make $10,000 USD a month by September
2006.

P.S.

I chose to make this blog’s template pinkish as I thought it’d be funny and different, so get used to it, because I’m not changing it 🙂

good to see your starting a blog, an interesting story so far. Pink is purposely provocative so fair enough but AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Frankly, Tyler, I like the pink too. it’s a recognized color used to calm down angry criminals and mentally disturbed folks .. and from the frequent flames one sees when trying to discuss intelligent subjects on line, perhaps more blogs ought to be pink.

    I feel sooo soothed

    Best regards
    Dave
