I lurve the Internet

October 23, 2005 Posted by Tyler Cruz

Just got a THIRD advertiser.. this time for a partner link. So, that’s about $75 a month so far coming in from DF, not counting AdSense which is about another $15 making a total of $100. See how fast it grows? I told you. It will be an ongoing $200 a month soon, then $500 a month…

How do you go about finding advertisers for your sites? (Sorry if that’s a dumb newbie question.)

  2. Tyler says:

For DomainForums, I’m not sure how those three found me, but I’ve posted that I had advertising slots available on a couple sites (WHT, SPF).. but I think those 3 found me just from all the recent exposure I’ve been getting from my success…

Any tips on how you’re generating traffic for your sites? 🙂

Hehehe, everyone is asking me that.. I guess the best way to answer that is to keep reading this blog.. I’ll try to keep it updated with most of the site work I do…

    aww, c’mon – can’t you just give a little taste? A teaser? 😉

    C’mon – hows about just a teaser? 😉

    Recip links? Purchase links? 🙂

  7. Well, his sites are primarily forums, so I assume that natural community growth and word or mouth have a lot to do with it.

    Just an educated guess though…

  8. Tyler says:

Yup.. however Movie Vault isn’t primarily a forum.. and there have been sites in the past I’ve sold that weren’t forums but just good ideas. I sold two sites that cost me a combined total of $1000 to build which I sold for a combined total of $17,000 🙂

For me, a big part is just snatching a good opportunity, whether it be an idea, a domain name, a niche, or a trend.
