Merry Christmas Everyone!

December 25, 2007 Posted by Tyler Cruz

What are you doing reading this!? This should be one of the few days that you actually have a good excuse not to read my blog.. 😉

All joking aside, I hope that you have a great, relaxing Christmas. Let me know what you get! I got Super Mario Galaxy for the Nintendo Wii (among a few other things) from my girlfriend… I actually received it a couple days ago though since we’re both impatient.

Santa brought me a great gift this year – a new RSS record (I’m such a nerd) of 1056! It must have been due to the extra cookie I left out for him…

Christmas Blogger Video

For a bit of fun, be sure to check out this fun flash video courtesy of Christina Aguilera Toni Turner. The video is a Christmas Blogger song sung by Toni herself (I presume), and I make a cameo appearance! Other cameos include Darren Rowse of Problogger.com, John Chow, and John Cow. I must admit that I’m a bit jealous for not being the "chosen" toy by Toni…

I normally don’t entertain "link baits", but this is a friendly form of linkbait that I like to endorse. I’m not sure if Toni made the flash herself, but I’m assuming she hired a talented Flasher. The flash is very well done, so she must have spent a fair penny on it. I’m also honoured to be chosen as one of the toys, and want to encourage others to do similar things with me *hint hint*. I actually had (still do) a similar idea in mind, and I think that "positive linkbaits" such as this one are great for everyone involved.

So be sure to check out Toni’s blog – she obviously has some great marketing ideas up her sleeve… here’s a link to the Christmas Blogger video.

That is all I have to say – I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

    Merry Christmas Tyler.

I think she did it her self, since on her website one of the pages says.
“Toni Turner is a my Freelance Web Design site, offering graphic design, web development and flash animation.

  5. Merry Christmas Tyler. You are my hero

  6. I signed up and am receiving the RSS feed through email. I hope that is all I need to do to win the contest.

I need to pay off my credit card debt that I amassed Christmas shopping.

The video is crazy good 🙂

As for her blog, I have to admit it’s not as good as everyone makes it seem. She was mainly able to get a top spot on Entrecard and that caused her site to jump up.

    Tyler,

I’ve seen a ton of blogs this year about how to make money on the web but they all seemed aimed at blogs that talk about making money.

I’m interested in growing my niche blogs (like your movie-vault) blog and I’d like to see more articles on how to do that. Just seems like much of the advice given in blogs doesn’t apply (for example, entrecards – how would that work on a movie blog or a TV show blog)

Maybe it’s there and I’m just missing it.

      Cynthia,

You are absolutely right, and I’m putting a note in my “list of blog post ideas” file to make a post addressing your concerns. I don’t know when it will be up, but it will eventually since it’s now in my list 🙂
