New Affiliate Marketing Record: $4,120 in 1 Day!

January 25, 2013 Posted by Tyler Cruz

It’s been quite a while since I set a new personal record on my affiliate marketing campaigns.

In fact, my last record was way back on June 8th, 2012 – just over 7 months ago – when I generated a whopping $4,070 in 1 day.

7 months is a long time, but that’s also a hard record to break.

Since then, I’ve had ups and down on my campaigns. June and July were absolutely awesome, but August and September were not. October was okay, and November was fantastic. December was pretty bad, but I only have myself to blame because I hardly did any work during the month.

Enter 2013. I knew that my December laziness needed to be compensated for, and so at the beginning of January I started to put in the effort again. As a result, my campaigns did a lot better than December, although I had some days with really tight margins.

Then, around January 17th or 18th I launched a bunch of new campaigns which were slight rehashes of some of my old/existing campaigns, as well a couple of new ones. They did awesome right off the bat and on January 21st, 2013 I set a new personal record by generating $4,120 in a single day!

Actually, it was a bit frustrating because January 19th (2 days prior) was when my stuff really exploded, and I kept refreshing my stats all day with the hopes of setting a new record. However, the day ended at a total of $4,023, just $47 away from the record.

I had hopes of breaking it the following day on the 20th, but just again missed out at a finish of $3,989.

Fortunately for me, the 3rd time’s the charm and I managed to surpass my previous record by exactly $50.

I didn’t shatter my record, but again – that’s a difficult record to break (for me anyway), so I was still quite happy.

Over $12,000 in 72 Hours

If you add up those 3 days, you’ll notice that I ended up generating a total of $12,132 in 3 days. It’s still a bit hard to believe… 5 figures in 3 days. I’ve come so far in affiliate marketing in just the past 14 months… it’s great to have days like these as it’s really rewarding to see all your effort pay off – literally.

So What’s The Profit?

These have all been gross numbers so far.

Out of the $4,120 my campaigns generated on January 21st, 2013, my net profit ended up at $1,044.75 for the day.

That works out to an ROI of 34% which, considering the volume, is quite good.

My profit for the 20th was $1,537.43 though, so the $1,044.75 on the 21st wasn’t the greatest considering the volume.

It’s definitely not a new daily net profit for me, as my previous best was $1,778.56, made on the same day as my previous gross high.

How Much Do I Want to Make?

A lot of people, including other affiliate marketers, my accountant, and my dad, have asked me how much I want to make. Essentially, how much money would make me happy.

That’s an extremely difficult question to answer. Obviously, I want to make as much money as I can. Especially being in this industry, where things can (and do) turn around at any moment and have you go from making $5,000 a day to $0 the next.

As a result, I really want to make as much as possible while I can, because it’s not like this is a regular job where I can just put in the hours and get a guaranteed salary.

With all that being said, my answer to this question is that if I can average $1,000 a day net profit consistently, so we’re talking long term or in perpetuity here – that I would be very happy.

Yes, some guys are pushing 6 figures a day in this industry, but there’s really not a huge difference between $30,000 a month and $3,000,000 a month if you think about it.

While I wouldn’t be able to afford a huge mansion, fly in a private jet, or own a fleet of exotic cars, at $30,000 a month I’d definitely be able to live a life of luxury and excitement.

That’s $360,000 a year. Enough to travel, comfortably no less, constantly. Enough to buy and pay off a million-dollar house in a few years…

Ahem… heh… sorry – getting a bit side-tracked here and counting the chickens before they hatch (I’m good at doing that).

My point is that my "real" goal is to be able to consistently net $1,000 a day, long term.

I’d love more than that – absolutely, and if and once I do start to consistently average $1,000 a day I’m definitely not going to stop there, obviously. But anything above that is just icing on the cake for me.

Fluke?

While those 3 days were the highest 3 days of the month for me, I’m still doing pretty well for January.

Since the past 2 days weren’t the greatest for me, I was curious how they fared net-wise, so I just finished calculating the results. Over the past 2 days, I ended up profiting a total of $1,255.25. That works out to an average of $627.62 per day.

It’s a lot higher than I was expecting, so I’m quite pleased with that. Factor in my other revenue streams outside of affiliate marketing and I’m doing pretty well right now.

So far, I’ve made $46,500 this month (gross), and there’s still 6 and-a-half days left.

Working On It

I’m really tired right now as I was up all night creating and launching 5 new landing pages for a campaign I’ve been trying to get in the black.

So far it hasn’t done very well at all, but I’m going to keep cracking away at it and continue to try to get my numbers up.

Anyhow, this is supposed to be a happy post. $4,120 in a single day – woohoo! New record.

Now the question is, when will I break that record? It took 7-months to break my previous one, but I’m hoping it won’t take that long to break this one. I’m thinking that I might break it within 2 months, but we’ll have to wait and see.

  1. Gr8 results men. I’d just like to point you at something. If you want “safe” 1k $ days from affiliate marketing I suggest you to make your own lead gen arbitrage offer. Build a list and send traffic to your lead gen site.

Monetize it on the frontend and backend. Trust me, if you send quality followups for like 3 months (every 3rd-4th email some CPA/CPS offer), in no time you will be making huge money and you won’t have to worry about the “zero dolla dayz” :). That’s something im working on right now, kuz it can be pain in the ass to jump from offer to offer and not building your assets ;).

    Anyway, gr8 results! Congrats :).

  2. Congratulations on your success. Can you explain in one of your post what launching a new campaign is? You use this term a lot “launching a new campaign”? What is it exactly, what does it mean? Can you take us through an example of what a day of working on your campaigns is like?

It’s just such a broad question… and there are already guides on what the basics are… but yeah, I’ll try to get some posts up on the basics of how to get into this game.

Do you stick to one niche or do you try a bit of everything? Is this all from email submits?

One more question… Do you use any spy tools like whatrunswhere.com? Also, check out LendWrench.com for how to build a list from your affiliate offers.

Interesting post. Would you mind giving us guidelines on how to make such financial leaps in profits?

  7. You must have found a gold mine, most people try and try different ways to make money on the internet, but you have really succeeded.
