Affiliate Marketing Challenge 6

November 30, 2008 Posted by Tyler Cruz

Note: The results of the Affiliate Marketing Challenge 5 will be posted on December 3rd.

It’s hard to believe that this is already the 6th Affiliate Marketing Challenge. It sure has come a long way in terms of prizes since the first challenge back in June. And we have MarketLeverage to thank for that.

That’s right! Due to the enormous successes of our first five affiliate marketing challenges, MarketLeverage and I have joined together once again to bring you the Affiliate Marketing Challenge 6!

There is a total of $11,475 worth of prizes up for grabs, including a 60-inch 1080 HDTV, Sony 60GB HD Camcorder, HP Compaq Notebook, and yes… even a freaking Segway i2!

Whether you’re a super affiliate, medium affiliate, or brand new to affiliate marketing, we have prizes aimed just for your skill level. We even have prizes for bloggers who post about this contest, so everybody is eligible to win a prize as long as you either do affiliate marketing or have a blog.

Affiliate Marketing Challenge 6

The competition runs from December 1st (12:00AM Eastern time) to December 31st (11:59PM Eastern time).

However, the earlier you register, the more time you have to start making some dough and the better your chances, so the sooner the better!

The process of the challenge is simple: publishers register to MarketLeverage under my referral link and then proceed to make as much money as they can until competition ends on December 31st.

There are also some additional prizes that can be won by simply blogging about this competition.

How to Participate

There are two different ways to participate in the competition. You may choose either method, or do both. However, the best prizes are only available in the “Earn the Most” methods:

Earn the Most: Main Prizes: Compete with others to earn the most (or top 5) in commissions from Market Leverage.

  1. Sign up to MarketLeverage through my referral link by clicking here. It is very important that you register under my referral link or you will not be eligible. If you’ve already registered to ML previously, then you are unfortunately not eligible to participate as I cannot track your generated revenue. If you’re an international publisher (non-US), make sure you provide the necessary bank information as MarketLeverage pays international publishers by bank wire and if this information isn’t listed they will auto-decline your application.
  2. Approve your account by phoning ML or having them phone you (don’t worry, they’re real nice!).
  3. Earn as much as you can!

Earn the Most: New Signups:

If you signed up to MarketLeverage through me just for this competition, you are eligible for the New Signups prize category as well. As long as you finish amongst the top 3 revenue earners for new signups, you win a prize.

If you are a new signup, you are eligible to win prizes from both the New Signups category and the Main or VIP categories if applicable!

Earn the Most: VIP Category:

If you’re a super affiliate who can generate big numbers, then you are eligible for the luxurious VIP prizes. You will need to generate at least $50,000 a month in order to be eligible.

There are three tiers. If you generate enough to hit a certain tier and finish as the highest in your tier, you win the corresponding prize for that tier.

The tiers are as follows:

  • $50,000-$74,999
  • $75,000-$99,999
  • $100,000+

Note: Once you generate over $50,000 you are only eligible for the VIP prizes and not the main prizes. Therefore, you cannot win a prize in both the Main Category and VIP Category.

Write a Blog Post: Simply write a blog post telling others about this competition on your blog.

  1. It’s as simple as it sounds. Write a blog post (an entire post, not a small mention in another post) about this competition, being sure to link back to it.
  2. Contact me with the URL of the actual post, being sure to provide your e-mail address. Please do not comment on this post saying you wrote the post; contact me through the contact form instead or your submission won’t count.
  3. You must e-mail me your published post by December 22nd or it will not be accepted.

Note: Your blog must be Internet Marketing related or your submission will not count.

A drawing will be taken at the end of the contest, and 3 random winners will each receive a $35 Prepaid MarketLeverage Rewards Card.

Blogging Prizes

3 bloggers who post about this competition will be chosen randomly by drawing and will each receive a $35 Prepaid MarketLeverage Rewards Card.

More Information

  • I will be making regular updates to the current competition rankings on the “Affiliate Challenge” section located on the top right column of my blog. This will let you know how far behind (or ahead!) you are from the leaders. I’ve recently improved this section to show the top new affiliates as well.
  • Your name or personal contact information will never be posted on the site. I don’t even have access to it if I wanted to (MarketLeverage can still ship the winner’s prizes as they have access to it). I will state your earnings and CD#, but those are completely safe to disclose.
  • The challenge only tracks participant’s income during the contest’s timeframe, so nobody will have a head start on you.
  • You will only be competing against other publishers who are signed up under my link, not against all of MarketLeverage’s publishers. This dramatically improves your chances of winning a prize.
  • For international publishers (residing outside of the US), in the event that we cannot find a company that ships your prize internationally to your country, MarketLeverage will compensate by sending a PayPal payment or MarketLeverage Gift Card (publisher’s choice) for the value of the prize.

Now go make some money!

I strongly urge everyone to participate in this challenge. The prizes alone should be enough incentive for you to join, but on top of that, this competition is a very good way to get started in affiliate marketing and put positive pressure on yourself to improve your earnings.

I’ve heard from a couple people who participated in the first Affiliate Marketing Challenge who said that the competition helped make them try harder and work on their campaigns more.

And, of course, you’ll keep all your profits you generated from MarketLeverage.

My personal goal for this competition is for the total amount of commissions to hit $110,000. The last competition brought in just over $105,000 so it’s definitely doable, but at the same time we’re also talking about $110,000 in 1-month here! I look forward to seeing how this challenge progresses and hope to see a lot of you participate.

Good Luck!

Take it from me, I wish I would have seen prior to signing up with ML earlier this year.

    Ugh I want a prize

  2. Wooo hooo!!! Another competition. I love these things. I gotta get my numbers up so that I can win some of those higher end prizes.

Thanks for hosting another Tyler and ML!

  3. Hey Tyler,

ML finally approved me 🙂 and I’m good to go.

What do I do next to be in the contest? Will I be eligible for the New Signups category?

  4. Problogineer says:

    wooho,, that’s a great contest..
Hope I would be a superaffiliate to win this..

    I will be registering !

  5. Another one of these contests…dang, ML is sponsoring a grip of different prizes. The only problem is a lot of big prizes are not going away, so they could pretty much list anything as a top prize right now. However, I have nothing against ML because they are indeed GREAT PEOPLE 🙂

    • Tyler Cruz says:

Regarding “The only problem is a lot of big prizes are not going away…”:

Every single one of our prizes has been claimed by a winner in every single one of our competitions, save for the $75K and $100K VIP tiers. However, the 5th competition will see the $75K tier being won for the first time, and the 6th might see the $100K tier being claimed…

I just wanted to clarify that, as even the super big prizes aren’t unatainable “dreams” – they’re really being won!

  6. WOW! Those prizes are AMAZING! Good luck to everyone!

  7. Melvin says:

What i’ve noticed with these competitions is that the prizes gets better which only urges me to better my campaigns and hopefully generate a wider margin. 🙂

    • Tyler Cruz says:

      You noticed that eh? 😉

I’ve been twisting ML’s arm to get bigger and better prizes every competition…

      • Melvin says:

and it seems you always have convinced them to do so.. 😉 the dilemma here i think is that since most people are rooting for the prizes (me for the touch), they might stop caring for having +roi’s because ml doesn’t care about adwords bills anyway, its just all about the revenue you have generated for them…

  8. BusinessX says:

As a few have stated, me included, wish we had signed with Tyler Cruz. Although, have some ideas for Affiliate Marketing Challenge 7. 1). New sign-ups for ML, why can’t that be an open category to all ML affiliates? Unless, Tyler is getting a cut of the money of people who sign under those who signed under him. Sadly, such a scenario starts getting Market Leverage into Multi-Level Marketing. 2). Tyler Cruz’s success with his contests are so unique, could ML allow those not signed with Tyler to join him for one month (for the contest) in addition to their original sponsor? It seems this would be no different than the times when ML will offer double earning months. Even better for Market Leverage than double earnings because they only have to pay-out an extra 5% to Tyler. Plus, they would get the boost of improved productivity from those contest affiliates.

    • Tyler Cruz says:

      In response to your questions:

      1. I _could_ allow that, but then I wouldn’t be benefiting. I receive 5% of all my referral’s gross commissions, so it’s naturally in my best interest to limit the competition to my referrals only.

      2. Even if ML did allow this, which they wouldn’t, it again would not benefit me as I wouldn’t be making any money from them.

The good news for all those who want to compete in these competitions but can’t because they’re not registered under my ML, I have a solution to that which will be unveiled by either January or February (most likely the latter).

      • Tushar says:

        Darn it..

Now that I’m finally going to promote under you, you have a solution!?!?

Either way, I like this because it makes the competition less tough and easier.

      • Jay says:

Well, I can’t freakin’ wait for this!

But damn, you’re getting pretty strict with the blog posts, huh? “Your blog must be Internet Marketing related or your submission will not count.”

That just cuts out 99% of your readers that would be willing to post about it. 😛

  9. Dave says:

I’m just stoked cause we finally earned our first commission the other day – $55! I’m tracked under Tyler and gunning for the big dogs!

    • Tyler Cruz says:

Congrats! The first lead is always special.

It looks like you’re promoting a competitive/high-end offer, so you won’t be generating as many leads as say somebody who is promoting a $3 CPA offer, but when they do come in you’ll be grinning every time.

Keep at it, and good luck!

  10. This is another awesome content! I would have loved to been able to participate!

  11. Problogineer says:

they are very strict to approval.
They rejected me without knowing who am I, how I will promote etc.. I think they see the country to decide approval of an application !!!!!!!!
